The Bargain

As I took this image with a kodak gold 200 film with my simple plastic toy camera, the image came out so much deeper, the story behind this is that it was taken at the old town Phetchburi’s fish market. This old lady was selling her goods as we walked pass. People all around us were bargaining for better prices to benefit their trade. Thailand is a cultural diverse country where i have come to a conclusion that bargaining is an everyday cultural example of trading in Thailand. Bargaining is one of the skills to survival of many traders, including what you could get out from this woman’s eyes where they say “please do come have a look at my goods!” And persuading us to have a closer look at her products. The red splash is caused from the effect in the process of washing the film when developing. As I took photography for igcse, I have really looked into accomplishing deep and spiritual story-telling through images, and it worked!
