When I wrote the lyrics to this song, I wanted to convey how changes in life, whether moving to a new place or meeting new people, can be hard at first. It can make you question your identity, the sense of who you are, what others might think of you, whether you really belong and generate that feeling of lostness. This happened to me when I moved school. My previous school was relatively small, we all knew each other and were close. However, once I moved to my new school, the community was really big, the change was enormous and I sometimes felt like I wasn't adapting very well, or lost, making myself too aware of everything, including how others see me, how I see, define myself and what I want myself to be, to others and also to myself. However, my central message is that it's okay to feel this way. Sometimes it takes time to settle down and feel stable, feel secure, along with a little bit of courage and believe in yourself as well. Through my song, I would like to encourage any youth who might be struggling or having doubts with their identity, that it's okay.
