Thailand's 1st Interscholastic Student Newspaper

What I Chose

Submission Rationale

This artwork represents my life growth. Time always flew above everything, it is delicate and permanent
like a blooming flower, meaning when bloomed it is never coming back. In my life I experienced change
in both my sexual and cultural identity. Studying in an international school raise opportunities for me to meet
variety of people, however, i am strongly embedded in Thai culture similar to those twirling roots.
Home is the only place I can be anything i wish. Trees are symbolic of life, I grew up in a Thai society filled
with butterflies (the symbol of Peace and freedom) .These small butterflies crawling on the tree merges into one.
That butterfly represents me. Others that tries to touch me, help me. Hurted me accidentally. Its sad how i can do nothing about that.
